SNOWDONIA
AND NORTH WALES, 2009

Panorama of Snowdonia from the Cob, Porthmadog, showing Snowdon (the distant peak at the left) and Cnicht (the pointed peak, right of centre).
A selection of photographs taken from February to October
2009, showing scenes in Snowdonia and especially the re-opening of a major
section of the Welsh Highland Railway through Beddgelert and the Aberglaslyn
Pass. The first pictures show the
“Golden Spike” ceremony when the new Welsh Highland line was linked to the
Ffestiniog Railway at Porthmadog.
Subsequent photos show holiday scenes, based at Beddgelert, concluding
with a further visit to the district in the Autumn.
